From 1 September 2026, large and ETI companies with no permanent establishment in France that carry out transactions deemed to take place there and on which they are liable for French VAT, must transmit transaction and payment data directly to the French tax administration. SME, TPE and micro-enterprises follow from 1 September 2027, though they may opt in early. Unlike e-invoicing, e-reporting does not require issuing or receiving an electronic invoice.
